Niceville Yacht Club & MARINA BAY TOWNHOMES

FOR SLIP TENANTS

Hurricane evacuation plan

Marinas are not safe places for boats during a hurricane. Every tenant needs a current plan to secure or move their vessel.

Our priorities, in order

  1. Protect human life
  2. Prevent or minimize injury
  3. Reduce property exposure to damage
  4. Minimize damage to property that can't be moved
  5. Restore normal operations quickly

What tenants need to know

  • Keep a current written plan for securing or removing your vessel.
  • Moving your boat to a safer harbor well ahead of a storm is strongly recommended. The marina is exposed to open water from the southwest.
  • Owners who leave a vessel in the marina are responsible for any damage it causes to docks, other boats or marina property.
  • Owners are responsible for removing and cleaning up a vessel damaged or sunk in a storm.

Hurricane plan & safety checklist
