Yes. The marina sits in protected, brackish water on Boggy Bayou with low barnacle growth, and an on-site dockmaster with over 20 years of marina experience keeps a list of trusted local service providers.
The docks are not rated for tropical storms or hurricanes, and moving your boat to a safer location before a storm is strongly recommended. Each owner keeps a written plan for securing or moving their boat. Under Florida law, if a boat isn't moved within 48 hours after a tropical storm or hurricane watch for Okaloosa County, the marina may take reasonable steps to secure it for a fee. See the Hurricane Plan page for the full plan and safety checklist.
Minor repairs and light maintenance are allowed with marina approval; major repairs, refinishing and refits are not. Contractors must be licensed and carry workers' compensation and $1,000,000 liability insurance naming SRM Capital Group LLC as additional insured, and you must tell the marina before they work aboard.
Yes. Pets must be leashed or contained when off the boat, can't be disruptive, and their waste must be picked up.
Yes. Marina Bay Townhomes, right across Bayshore Drive, offers three-bedroom, 2½-bath, 1,500 sq ft townhomes for $2,350 a month on a 12-month lease, with access to the marina and its facilities.
